add to etiquette article that using a scrabble cheat dictionary is not proper.
when players use scrabble cheat dictionaries to win I resign and remove the game. Cheating is bad etiquette.
to Neko: you "cheat" with a friend in " agreement" Nice you have that trust between yourselves...Unfortunately this game is based on deception..What is it?. Don't ask don't tell bc no one offers any info unless asked. When asked either no reply or unashamedly admit and justify the use of hints..
would someone tell me how a person uses a scrabble cheat dictionary and how can you tell they're using one? Sadly enough. I heard there's word scramble/ cheat apps online but i don't cheat so i don't even know what its called...probably google " cheat apps" if you're interested in not using your brain..lol
your post states the word "etiquette" so by eliminating the cheats puts all of us on an equal playing field..Would that lessen your pocketbook or the amount of players here?
i agree with simeone who said as long as a feature is agreed upon its ok to use..me personally..i use my brain...thank you....and unless you ask people they don't tell you.and some are offended and think u r accusing them of cheating...well..i think it us...but to each his own..
wow this topic is noteworthy to say the least..and ill get flack too for my suggestion ...im sure....yes its only a game but cheating is cheating..and most times unfamiliar words may make us wonder...but may not be suspicious..so can/will the developer eliminate the features that promote cheating...like hints and word placement..some even justify these features. i understand shuffling letters and bombs bc you still have to use your brain... but my god...a machine showing us where to play...really? is this like modern technology in the businesses ...where machines do our thinking for us ? so sad..i love this game but its discouraging..
help i am a rock
Additional comment: Using one's own stale knowledge exclusively is not nearly as educational as learning new words is. I welcome players who use helper apps. We both learn new words & the game usually moves faster! I don't mind getting beat. I like increasing my knowledge base & for Pete's sake, It's a game.
I am curious to know the logic in how pushing letters around randomly forever, until they turn green & make a word that one did not think of, is NOT cheating, but looking up a word in a 'helper' app, ( much faster, same results: neither came from one's own brain) IS cheating?
and how do you "know" it's cheating? Maybe it's just luck!
I've laid down letters that suprisingly form a word I've never
heard in my life! And as for resigning, thats just a sore loser
if i ever heard one, it's only a GAME!!

I highly disagree!! I have a friend I play on here. We have an agreement that we may cheat with each other and it's actually quite fun. I believe it should be based on agreement not rules!
Yes I 100% agree w ANDREARU's comment!! The more u play this, the better u become!! I can name Q and X words off top of my head now, after seeing them again + again!! Plus HINTS, BOMBS ...ALL THAT stuff I learned by playing this game x1yr now!!
It's a skill + ur vocabulary SHOULD GET BETTER PLAYING THIS GAME!!
Don't always assume the worst (cheat)
Besides nothing can really Win this for u...u either have great letters or u don't!!
here's an actual word: tranq.

I agree my “friends” all get 54 or more points each time and words I have never heard of
Thank you! I've seen my opponents playing like 90,000 points per word
Playing this game gives you quite an insight into people's thinking. When first started playing was amazed at the words people came up with, eg 'irids', 'yogh', 'qoph', etc. Needless to say I lost most games initially, but rather than accuse people of 'cheating' I realised their skills at playing this game were much greater than mine and continued to play, learning along the way about 'hints' and 'best' words etc, at the same time massively increasing both my vocabulary and ability to construct words from a row of letters. To do well at this game you need patience, a willingness to learn and most of all perseverance. I've noticed that those players most likely to call you a 'cheater' (thankfully very rarely) are those fairly new to the game.

Well done team for keeping the game interesting and addictive.
What cheat? You pay big coins for hints and bombs!! Why call me s cheat? It’s part of the game that is provided for use.
Did the maker allow “cheating “? Then it’s part of this game.
It is in the parameters for this game. It was designed this way. Maybe get someone to help you learn how to use these “tools”.
If you don’t like those that use these tools, play the board game or someone who doesn’t buy the options.
Face it, without bombs and hints, we wouldn’t do as well.
you just have to see an opponents stats to know whose cheating
Cheaters usually leave and come back numerous times. If I see the little eyes coming and going within a short amount of time I usually assume they are using an anagram solver. I have played people who are naturally good players, but there are definitely A LOT of cheaters "playing" this game.
