We have seen cases where the local data on the device becomes corrupted and can show things like it being the other players turn when they show its your turn. A logout and login will reload all the data from our server and usually clear up this type of problem.
Try tapping settings (top right on main screen) and the go down and Logout. You can log back in with your email or facebook account you used to set up Word Chums. If its the same device you already played on you can also tap the small text at the bottom of the login screen and type in your username to login.
