The other thing is I'm a high-40s level. I'm highest of most of my friends except 1. I lose more than half my games.
It doesn't matter - it's the luck of your letter draw, the shape of the that game with its spaces for new words, and your strategy.
Play more, read more.
How do you know that person doesn't love trivia?
I'm a book editor with 30 years experience, and know 12 languages; I studied ancient civilisations and philosophies in their languages as well. So I dare say I know more of the words in the 26 volumes of the Oxford English Dictionary than you do.
But I play with a librarian, and a scientific researcher who also plays pub trivia and does crosswords. She's older than me. They both have different word sets to me, I learn more from them, they usually beat me, sometimes I beat them.
ITS A GAME
Why do you think they're cheating? Maybe they're older, or better educated, or just have a better vocabulary? Perhaps they've played more kinds of strategy word games and can see more solutions per rack than you can, because they can de-anagram more words?
View it as a learning experience, then find someone else to play.
YES!!!!! I absolutely would love this! But I know it might be hard to design.
But : if you both have the choice to resign after first move, then yr resign rates increase, so it doesn't really help, does it?
Please keep comments relevant
Time zones don't tell you if a person is at work these days, or busy with study or other stuff.
I'm really not sure why all these details aren't worked out before you actually get into serious play, via Chat.
Agree with Liri and Vixen.
So why not set it up with yr opponent via chat?
Please, just talk about it with them.
Bring it in as compulsory, and I quit. That's a lot of current games gone, from a longtime player.
ShiraB, there is.
If you want WWF, play that game.
No. I don't want to choose. I choose enough everywhere else. I just want to play, here. This suits me and my friends. Thank you.
I place my power cord on top.
My average word score floats from 28 to 32ish . I regularly score words around 100+
It's all about learning how to boost your scores with placement, accessories, boosts, bombs etc and reading up on strategies. Playing with more experienced players gives you the chance to ask how they learnt to make such high scores and good moves.
Not all the goofy Chum costumes are about looks, it's about the XP. Learn how to use this with the rest of your tools for a better, faster rise through the levels.
That's why you have Chat: set it up with your challenger. ;)
Why was my comment removed???
Not to discourage this, but what OvCa? Bowel cancer? And brain injury? And heart health? And autism research? And the thousands of other vital causes out there? Pink ribbon awareness has commercialised nearly fundraising opportunity around us, and left others with few resources. Migraineurs get 67cents of research in the US compared with $2.45 per patient for the top four diseases (including breast cancer) combined, yet there are more migraineurs disabled every day.
This is a game for fun and escape. Please don't bring real life into it.
That was 'one or two letter words'.
Sandii, one of my opponents (with whom I also share living space) has a higher win rate, often beats me by more than 100, and often blocks me in with small impossible one words. He tells me it's called Good Tactics, and it's similar to how he'd play chess.
Agree with Huey. People need to learn how to wisely use accessories, use good strategy, improve vocab - you get these things via playing people with better scores/ more experience. Just like life.
It's in capitals, and an abbreviation. Otherwise spelt "okay".
